Bought vehicle with 26000 kilometres on it. Brake pedal always felt soft but my brother bought a RAV4 and told me my highlanders brakes are very spongy. Took it to the dealer and he turned front rotors and cleaned up 400 dollars later he wanted to do back brakes also I refused. Asked if they could try bleeding the brakes and they said they don't do that. I'm very easy on brakes and believe the kilometres on it doesn't warrant a complete brake job. Brakes seem to stop ok but break pedal spongy. I have a 2010 Camry with 56000 kilometres on it and never touched the brakes and they are still perfect. No other issues except the electric steering seems always wanting you to correct the steering. Took in to Toyota but they said was normal.
