We purchased the 2015 Toyota with 10,000 miles in 2017. We had the issue with the Liftgate which was paid for by Toyota because of the recall.
My issue is with the monitor rebooting/resetting itself daily! It does it randomly so you’ll be in the middle of a conversation while you’re driving or using GPS, listening to music etc. and it will reset. I paid the deductible for our extended warranty to have the monitor replaced and it still happens. Based on all of the complaints it must be a manufacturing issue, most likely an electrical issue and Toyota isn’t taking responsibility to handle the problem.
It has to be a safety issue because it is distracting to be in the middle of your drive and be completely disconnected for directions or your phone call.
