The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Highlander. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer to receive a recall repair for NHTSA campaign number: 14V743000 (seats), but the remedy did not provide a permanent repair. The dealer would only disconnect the heaters with copper strand heating elements. The contact had extensive back pains and used the feature daily to prevent the back pains. The contact indicated that without the option of the seat heater, she would experience back pains while operating the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
