The contact owns a 2005 Toyota Highlander. While driving 53 mph she experienced unintended vehicle acceleration. She was able to decelerate. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, and a technician concluded that the plastic panel behind the air conditioning system fell off and subsequently fell between the accelerator pedal; which caused the pedal to stick. The failure and current mileages were 23,000.
