Highlander V6 3.0L V6

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

Car ran perfectly from early spring 2015 when I bought it. then on April 5th 2018 the check engine light came on. New spark plugs were put in on the 7th, and the car has never run since. Every single chip, sensor, solenoid, wire, both catalytic converters, the entire transmission (X2 do you hear me???) - the car sat in the shop for so long I think ants ate up all of the Gerber Puffs my granddaughter flung out of her car seat. Four months, the car was in the shop for 4 months.

Presently the car is sitting out in the driveway, underneath an old and sickly looking tree, while I try to figure out what to do with this thing. The mechanic tells me that the warranty company has broken up with me since they have now paid out the entire value of the car. The 2nd transmission the shop put in is still leaking oil and now the rack and pinion hooptie clunks loud and clear which it never did before.

It's so depressing really, the car is beautiful, looks brand new inside and out, and is literally the most comfortable car I've ever ridden in. But right now I would not drive it down to the mailbox. I wanted this to be the last car I ever bought, and have been right on top with all of the maintenance. This experience has been worse than discovering the truth about Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.
