I was driving down the road and hit a bump. The car started rocking so I stopped to check my lug nuts, and all was fine. I thought maybe I hit one off the off road buttons, but I hadn't. I continued on to pick up my friend from the Cleveland airport and as we got on the ramp to the freeway I hit another bump and my car went so high in the air my passenger thought we were going to roll over. He said get off the road now.
As we got off the road there was Metro Toyota and I asked if they could look at it. The service man said they don't have time. So I called my dealership in Mentor & my representative said to get it towed in. I told him we were driving slow & may be able to make it in. He sent me pictures and said I was lucky. He got me a rental and they checked it out Monday. I called my insurance company, they did not physically go to Toyota. They just looked at the pictures and said it was wear & tear. Many cars last longer than this, I do not understand. I have never gone off road with the vehicle. This is a factory default with lack of corrosion protection. I have never taken my car anywhere for service other than Toyota & I keep up with the service. I have spent a lot of money for this car & love it, but now I have to figure out what to do.
Update from May 23, 2022: Insurance won't do anything, Toyota won't do anything, So I made a report to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
