The contact owns a 2008 Toyota Fj cruiser. While driving at 60 mph an unknown object struck the front windshield. There were no markings of where the object struck. A crack began to form in the windshield shortly thereafter. The contact stated the windshield was extremely brittle and the design of the windshield was a potential safety hazard. The manufacturer stated they would not assist because the failure was caused by a road hazard. The vehicle was not repaired. The current and failure mileages were 22,000.
Purchase the 2008 Fj cruiser on Oct. 13th 2007 with less than 300 miles on the vehicle I now have a cracked windshield. I didn't hear anything hit the windows, but noticed the 6 inch long crack when I opened the door this morning (Oct 18) to drive the vehicle to work. Note: I could not show the incident date correctly as 2008 is not available foe selecting.
