As described by many individuals, my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser has a sensation of being hit from behind when parked at a stop light. I can not count how many times I've looked in my rear view mirror only to find I'm the only person on the road. It feels as if the transmission shifts extremely hard and the car attempts to lurch forward. My foot is always on the brake without any item impinging on the gas petal. I fear one day the car will move forward and run into the car in front of me.
When coming to a stop for a red light, stop sign or whatever, the car surges forward while in drive not moving. It feels as if someone bumped or rear ended you.
Didn't care much until the rear end went bad! Only happens on rare occasions (about three times a year) so you can't complain about it because the mechanics will not be able to find the problem. Then they act like you have no idea what your talking about.
