Cruise lever simply broke off during routine driving when I pulled back with one (1) finger to engage the COAST feature of the cruise. Mind you the vehicle is still under the 3yr/36,000 mile Bumper-to-Bumper warranty but the dealership is saying it is a NON-Warrantied item! Part is only $120 and takes 2 screws to replace. I have had all of my service as well as many of my accessories purchased at the same dealership...the same one where I purchased the vehicle!!!
I've been quite pleased with the Toyota product until this point. If the company is OK with losing a customer over an item this minor which should be covered under warranty then I'll sell it & NEVER purchase another. The dealership has already lost ALL of my business! Now will Toyota Corporate??? It's up to them...claim files through corporate customer service but no response yet!
