Dealer could have helped, but wouldn't loan out the box that registers problems. Because the problem happened erratically, no one really took it seriously. I got the car in 2005 and have been putting up with this for nearly 5 years. Changing my driving styls--never coasting in neutral and never going around corners with the clutch depressed has helped a lot, but I worry about it shutting off in some situation where it would be dangerous to not have power. When it shuts down, it is hard to brake and steer.
