The slave cylinder started leaking which made the clutch not release. This made the car un drivable since there was no way to stop the car. The cost to fix the issue was compounded by the fact that the slave cylinder for the clutch is part of the throw-out bearing assembly and the engine and transmission must be removed and separated to replace the part.
