This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I am concerned with the visibility of my car in the night/dark. When driving my car in the night I get flashed by divers behind me. I am almost completely sure it is because the rear lights are so small and dim. This car was not available for a test drive and often isn-??t so how is a potential buyer to know of this issue unless it is pointed out? All of the demonstration videos are of the highest model which comes with the adequate lighting. The only way to have an adequately visible Corolla Cross (from behind) is to upgrade to the highest model. I worry that I am at a higher risk from other drivers of being rear ended when driving at night/on dimly lit streets.
