Much to my thankfulness that I have HUM by Verizon which identified a on-board computer problem. Toyota as by the article I found stating that rodents love Toyota wires.
My kid was driving when the engine light came on, went back out-a few days later HUM sent a diagnostic report (attached). Rodents have eaten through the wires which are located under the car exposed - if the wires had severed it would have shut down the entire car, she would have lost complete control.
Toyota tells me the part is not covered under warranty- very regretful of their lack of concern for safety. I find this to be defective design flaw and extremely dangerous
Why would they not place the wires inside a tube, sheathing to protect this? Such an important piece of electrical equipment.
