We were taking a road trip and about halfway through the trip I noticed my car was much louder. It sounded like a Cessna Airplane, LOUD. The car was driving fine so we were able to make it home. The Rumble/Growl would get worse as we speed up. I knew this had to be a bad wheel bearing. I have an extended warranty and took my car to the dealership.

I got a call and sure enough it was the wheel bearing but also the wheel hub needed to be replaced as well. I was told when they replace the wheel bearing they have to press the old wheel bearing out of the which created scoring to the hub so this must be replaced. Did have to fight with the warranty company to cover the Hub however they did cover this.

The cost of the repair if I would not have the warranty would have been over $700. However thankfully I only have a $100 Deductible
