The air conditioning wasn't working, so I brought the car to the Toyota dealer. They said rodents ate the wires and it needs a new wiring harness for about $2000.00. Car insurance will cover it with a $500.00 deductible. Internet says Toyota uses soy-based wire coverings which rodents find delicious. Internet suggests spraying engine with peppermint oil mixed with water to repel rodents.
