I turned my key to start my car. It sounded like my battery was dead. I turned key off, then turned key again. It sounded like it wanted to turn over & start but wouldn't. I turned key off & turned key a third time. It would not start. I had to find a ride to work.
I called dealership from work & they sent a tow truck to pick my car up for service. I told them it made a noise like it wanted to start, but wouldn't. I didn't press the gas pedal, I only turned the key. It's a new car, you don't press the gas pedal when you start it. I called service department later that afternoon, and was told they couldn't find anything wrong with my car. I was told that my car started right up for the tow guy they sent. This was incorrect.
My son & his friend, and my neighbor across the street said when the tow guy attempted to start my car it sounded like a old lawn mower. It sputtered & struggled to start, then it backfired, but it did start finally. It doesn't anger me that they couldn't find any issues for that moment, but it does anger me that they claimed it started right up & there was no issues. They did put a new battery on my car.
My husband is a mechanic. He went with me to pick my car up the next morning. The service guy that dealt with me on the phone wasn't there to answer our questions. I did report to another service guy what the car did when there tow guy came & that I didn't appreciate being told otherwise. He wouldn't hardly look at us & he only replied that he wasn't the person on my car & we could call or come back in when the other guy was there.
