problem #6

Corolla S 1.8L 4 cyl

  • CVT transmission
  • 68,000 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

This problem occurs with some regularity in Corollas - both of my passenger side door locks have stopped functioning and now must be flipped manually.

problem #5

Aug 102020

Corolla S 1.8L 4 cyl

  • CVT transmission
  • 50,000 miles

Once the door locks fail, they tend to get stuck in a position - locked or unlocked, for any significant amount of time. Occasionally they function properly but most of the time, they will not. You will need to have the door lock actuators replaced typically (currently having my 3rd and 4th door lock actuators repaired).

problem #4

Corolla Sport Eco 1.8L

  • CVT transmission
  • 29,000 miles

This car is still like new and to have all three actuators be failing and told the last one on the driver side will go out at anytime. I believe the Toyota should take of this - in all the cars I have owned I have NEVER had this issue with any cars. Toyota said that it would cost 2100 to 2900 dollars... BOOOOOO!

Fob not unlocking the door on the first try. it usually takes at least 5 times to get it to unlock. I tested the extra key and it also won't unlock the doors.
