The actuators for the locks in my driver door and front passenger door are going out. Sometimes it will unlock/lock with the key button, most of the time it will not. Most of the time I actually have to insert the key into the driver door just to get into or lock my car. I spoke with a Toyota technician who acknowledged that this is a common problem with the Toyota Corollas. The only solution I was given was to have the actuators replaced but it is an expensive fix; almost $300 per door.
