My 2014 Corolla LE, 11500 miles, makes a noticeable thumping noise ("much" of the time) when coming to a SLOW, gradual stop. The thumps go away when I increase brake, or handbrake, pressure. I lifted the rear of the car and eventually duplicated the thumps when turning the wheels and applying mild brake pressure.
Comment: I believe the brake pads and rotor may not be at perfect equilibrium. Bearings are OK. Note: others online have written about this.
