Takata recall we received an airbag recall early spring of 2017 around March and we have contacted our local Toyota dealership to see when we could take the vehicle in for repairs and have been told that they would contact us when the new inflators would be in stock to do the repairs. It is now August 10 2017 and we still have not heard from them. This is taking a very long time and I am having to put extra miles on our other vehicle to go on family trips/outings because we do not want any passengers in the front seat due to the defect.

Takata recall. I was informed about our car in Jan. Or early Feb. 2017. I've been told by Toyota that the repair might be done in Dec 2017. Dealer does not know when. We only have one car. Wife and I are in our early seventies and would like to go some places. We used a dealer loaner/rental in June but I don't want my car setting unprotected in the elements for many months. I am willing to take it 40 mile radius if it could be fixed wlthin two or so months. We are fed up. Please respond. Thank you very much.

Takata recall I feel uncomfortable driving around my car knowing my passengers are unsafe. Although it is recommended for passengers to not use the front seat, it is frustrating knowing I am paying for a car that cannot be used completely. I cannot avoid using the front seat at times because I usually drive around with my friends or family and they might not all fit in the back seat at times. This is also concerning because children sit in the front seat at times and I do not want to be putting their lives at risk. It is not fair I have to continue to pay each month for my car when the problem will not be resolved until December. Also, I have had the airbag light go on while driving on the highway. This has occurred while no passengers are present. I am not sure if this is related to the recall, but it brings me concern. A few of my friends know of the takata recall, and refuse to sit in the front seat of my car. Why should I be paying for a car that puts others at risk? as careful of a drive one might be, any accident can happen from here to December.

Airbag recall. I received a recall notice back in February of 2017 stating that my airbags were being recalled due to the possibility of a defect in manufacturing that may lead to shrapnel being fired out during airbag deployment, which may seriously injure or kill passenger. The letter also states that I would receive follow up when the part would be replaced, and in the meantime, to not let anyone sit in the passenger seat. It has been 6 months and I have not heard a word. I drive a Corolla, not allowing someone to sit in the passenger seat is not really a solution.
