The contact owns a 2012 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that when using reverse, the exterior lights would not illuminate far enough for her to see behind the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who inspected the exterior lighting and advised the contact that the exterior lighting was performing as designed. The manufacturer was notified and a complaint was filed. The manufacturer offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 200 and the current mileage was 5,000...updated 05/01/13 the consumer stated the dealer replaced the reverse lights with sylvania blue lights. However, the reverse illumination still remained inadequate, in dark locations.
