The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Corolla. The contact was driving 55 mph as the steering wheel become very stiff and difficult to maintain. The contact stated that the vehicle would swerve from left to right when the failure would occur and her small child would complain of back pain during the failure. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and the dealer was able to diagnose the failure, stating that the vehicle would need new tires and rims. The contact stated that the vehicle was brand new and should not need new rims and tires. The contact believed every time the vehicle was on the highway, she was putting her family at risk. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 2,000.
