The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Corolla. While driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle suddenly decelerated to approximately 5 mph. The failure corrected independently and the vehicle resumed normal operation. The contact indicated that prior to the incident, the vcs and check engine sensor lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the combination meter assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was unavailable.
