I don't know how to describe it. When it's cold and/or wet, when I start the car it turns over just fine, then makes a strange grinding like noise I notice it happens while the RPM gauge is going back down. I Googled it and found several YouTube videos of cars doing the same thing. Apparently it's condensation on the starter and is common in Japanese smaller cars. Don't know if that's true but it is very annoying. So far it has not caused any problems with starting, just startles anyone that is standing near the car when I start it
