Adult son was driving car on freeway when sunroof/moonroof just blew off. Hit two cars causing windshield and minor body scratching. Brought car into Toyota dealership that next week. Was told 1) sunroof was an after market add on, 2) glue holding sunroof to frame had let go and 3) not a Toyota problem. Contacted original dealership where car purchased new. Was told they would not help as sunroof was aftermarket and there was no existing warranty. I bought the car new and paid Toyota. Car came with the sunroof which Toyota dealership had contracted out for installation. Was given the name of the installer and they readily agreed to pay for the re-installation of a new sunroof.
