As a result, the contact could not reach the pedals. None of the air bags deployed. A police report was filed. The contact sustained a neck, head, and mid back injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was destroyed and towed. The manufacturer was contacted at 800-331-4331 and stated that they would inspect the vehicle within five days. The contact was advised to keep the vehicle for 30 days and the manufacturer would contact their legal department. The approximate failure mileage was 118,000.
The contact owns a 2001 Toyota Corolla. While driving approximately 40 to 50 mph approaching a traffic light he was rear ended and pushed into the vehicle in front of him. The drivers seat base failed causing the seat to move forward push him under the dashboard. The driver?S frontal air bag did not deploy. He sustained injuries to his back and knee. The insurance company sold the vehicle to a dealer. Report number 0908117300 was filed with the manufacturer manufacturer also stated that an inspector would inspect the vehicle; however, they have denied the claim since the contact no longer owns the vehicle and they are not obligated to do so. The waco police department report number was 09-18449. The failure and current mileages were 106,268.
