It started several months ago with an intermittent problem. I would turn on my headlights and the engine would die. This happened 3 times in as many months. Last night, April 9th, 2016, it started doing it again and I noticed a slight smell of burned wiring. It continued to do it and I could not finish my shift. Checked battery, replaced corroded positive clamp. Voltage at battery when running is 14.46 volts. Battery itself tests good. Since last night it has gotten progressively worse, turn signals cause the engine to stutter, parking brake light comes on and stays on. If I brake to a stop at a light or stop sign the car dies. Even just sitting there at idle the car sometimes dies. DRLs have not worked right for several years but never bothered to figure out why since it didn't effect the running of the car. High beam light on dash stays dimly illuminated at all times when headlights are turned off.
Check engine light and battery light on dash illuminate when I turn the key to on position and go out once car is started. No trouble codes.
Update from Apr 16, 2016: Through trial and error, so far I have deleted relays, fuses, and the turn signal/headlight switch. Replaced all of these and the problem still happens.
