While releasing the seat belt it failed to move in place. Vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the seat belt needed to be replaced due to worn out parts.
Vehicle had multiple problems since consumer owned it. Engine and motor mounts had been replaced twice/ lock on the passenger side did not work/ driver's side outside door handle broke, and rear passenger's side seat belt did not retract.
Both rear shoulder belts (May 2001 & January 2003) and the front passenger belt (July 2003) retractors have failed, locking at a certain length and not retracting or releasing the belt.
Seat belts in the vehicle lock up. Also when trying to put the belt into the latch holder the belt will not move. Consumer has contacted the dealer and has had it replaced twice.
