The GPS in my Camry Hybrid is pitiful. When we travel, my husband takes his Tom-Tom and gets better, more helpful results than the dashboard factory installed GPS. I previously had a Lexus and their GPS was fantastic - it could've found an outhouse in the woods. But this one in the Camry? It is a joke! I cannot even find my house, which is almost 2 years old. I've had the dealership update the software and it still has problems with finding addresses, especially in new developments. If you enter a location close to where you want to go, it may be able to lead you there, but no guarantee. Recently, we took a trip through NC near the flooding and what a joke that was. There was NO rerouting of any type; whereas, the TomTom knew to direct us around the flooding. I would think Toyota would use the same type of technology, but apparently not. My next vehicle will not be a Toyota unless they can demonstrate the GPS to be reliable.

Navigation unit with Bluetooth, GPS, hands free all not working. You have got to be kidding me. I thought that Toyota made good stuff. Why should I buy another Toyota after this crap happened?

This navigation system is junk. From what I have been able to find, online, we have the DA6 system....it is the lesser of two options on the 2012 Camry Hybrid XLE. In short, it is inaccurate, a pain to use, average graphics, voice navigation unusable, ......just an inferior product.

I notified Toyota who put me in touch with the dealer who shrugged his shoulders. I will continue to complain, anywhere and everywhere I can. Our most recent experience was trying to navigate to a Fireplace store about 60 miles from us. I tried to find it as a POI....not there. I tried Entune...could not connect. I tried the address....it would not allow me to input the address, as if it did not exist. To use this silly system, you have to pick the state, city, etc. When you try to put in the street, if it doesn't know the street, you can't put it in. If it doesn't know the address, it won't accept the digits.

So.....I pulled out my iPhone and asked Siri. She popped up the location in a few seconds and asked if we wanted routing. So we plugged her in and disregarded the $1000 system in the car. She got us there, just fine. Just for grins, I had the navigation screen open on the car. When we were nearing our destination, there was NOTHING on the side of the street where we were going. I asked the people at the store how long they had been there and they said nearly 5 years.

Toyota has shown no interest in solving our problem. On Toyota Nation, some of the people there think the system is just great......???

I am going to stay on Toyota's butt until we get some kind of action. And, I would be more than happy to join a class action suit.
