Have a 2023 Toyota Camry when I first drove it not bad, after a little bit there was a lot of jerking shifts, and sluggish acceleration, and now it has 23k miles on it I have every day of it, sometimes won’t downshift, and gets stuck in gear until I floor the gas peddle. Saw a YouTube video the 2018 and 2019 got a TSB update for it and fixed all the issues, so I say the 2020-2024 with the same 8 speed transmission should get the same for people that don’t like the way it shifts and acts. It always jerks on shift, sometimes struggles to keep the same speed without wasting more fuel especially on a straight road no hills! My mpg has gone down because I have to use more gas to downshift.
The techs at the dealership, 1 said that’s just how the car drives it’s programmed that way, another actually saw what I meant and said yes complain! I’ve complained to the dealership 100 times, and if anyone reads this call the Toyota number the dealership will give you, and complain, I hope they get an update for it. I punch my steering wheel sometimes because the car makes me mad! I say go come on but I have to floor it to go! The transmission would be good if the shifts where smoother and better acceleration. TSB 0330-17 Was the fix on the 2018, and 2019 and there is a YouTube video explaining it, so everyone complain and hope they fix it!
