The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Camry. The contact stated while driving at unknown speeds, the vehicle loss motive power and shut-off however, the vehicle was restarted. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to caribbean auto mart (4523 estate charlotte amalie, St thomas 00802, U.S. virgin islands, 1(340)777-7600) and diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was due to fuel pump. The contact was informed that parts were on back order. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 8,000. The vehicle was repaired 15 days later but unfortunately they did not change all the recall parts. They continue to fail the customers of the virgin islands by typically ignoring the importance of informing then about the dangers of these recall and failed parts. It is possible we are being disenfranchise and need to be protected under the antitrust laws. The owner of the dealership controls more than 85% of the market, which might be a violation of antitrust laws.
