If I am trying to locate my car, I press on the lock or unlock buttons on my key.If there are NO obstacles between me and my car, I can lock/unlock only from about 100 feet away. If there are obstacles (other cars or whatever), the distance is much shorter. This doesn't help much when finding a lost car in a large parking lot. Also, the "beep" that IS returned is very quiet -- hard to hear from 30 yards away.
