I purchased a 2018 Toyota Camry XSE in 2017. I bought the car brand new off the dealership. February of 2019, the paint started to chip/peel off on the left side of my front bumper. I notified the dealership and they said to take it to a paint shop and I’ll have to pay out of pocket. Why would I need to pay out of pocket? Just recently, the right side of the bumper is chipping. An inspector from corporate took a look at my car and stated “the paint is peeling off as the result of bumper was hit at one point therefore paint flexed then cracked and started peeling off.†I was never hit or involved in an accident. The inspector is incorrect. Toyota does not want to take care of this paint chipping issue. My car is under 30,000 miles. Toyota is so cheap that they can’t fix this paint chipping issue. Their paint quality is the horrible. Toyota overall is horrible.
