The contact owns a 2017 Toyota Camry. The contact stated while driving 20 mph, the front driver's side seat belt unlatched independently. The contact stated that the seat belt warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to Toyota South atlanta (6865 jonesboro rd, morrow, ga 30260) where it was diagnosed with the seat belt needing to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000.
I hydroplaned on the interstate going 60 and hit a guardrail twice. The airbags never went off, the seat belt retracted back into place after taking it off. It should have been floppy if it was effective.
