Purchase auto new, own for 8 months and has 5,700 miles now. CD player making noise and took auto back to dealer. At the dealer for over 2 hours. Tech reports states he could not remove CD and possible 2 CD's in player. Also, was not a manufacture defect. Manager will open case with Toyota. Service rep. suggested to take auto to someone to have the CD removed. I took a long pair of small needle nose pliers and removed CD. The CD light was on before removing CD, after CD was removed light went off, but still makes grinding noise.
Called dealership and back the same day it was checked. Service Manager never returned call. Next day called and was not able to speak to anyone in management concerning issue. Finally, that evening I called and was able to speak to Service Manger. Informed him what I found. I was informed, removing CD could damage unit. Informed Service Manger my wife was instructed to have it removed. I informed Service Manger who the Service rep was by name who instructed this. I was informed he would get back to me. Still waiting !!!! Toyota may make a good auto, but their dealer service stinks!!!!!
