I have a loud whining sound coming from the motor, especially upon a cold startup. I took it to the dealer and was informed this is normal. I did start 2 other Camry models on the lot and they both made the same sound. I am being told it is a valve in the air intake. I submitted a complaint to Toyota headquarters, however there is currently no fix for this issue. I am told that if Toyota receives enough complaints a fix could be issued.
IF YOU HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM PLEASE CALL TOYOTA AND COMPLAIN!!!!!
