I love my vehicle make and model but in the last 2 years I almost lost about a quart of full synthetic oil between oil changes. In the last 3 months it has risen to more oil burned. I have to add minimum a quart of oil each week. It's not leaking oil from anywhere, as a matter of fact I had Toyota dealership do my last oil change. I was hoping that if something was wrong they would've brought it up to my attention...like oil leakage, etc.
I took the car to different mechanics and explained my situation, they said to add Lucas oil Stabilizer...that it should help. Well I'm very skeptical about adding anything other than my regular synthetic oil to my engine. I just want to see what other options I have out there. 2 mechanics told that I will need to open up the engine and get issue fixed ($4,000.00 average) parts and labor. This problem started when I was about 120,000 miles now I'm over 151,000 mark.
