I called the dealer where I purchased this vehicle, Toyota of Tampa Bay, who referred me to Toyota corporate headquarters. I spoke with a customer service rep there who took my information and told me that Toyota would not pay in full or in part to replace the defective starter motor that ceased working after only 46,300 miles. My warranty was for 3 years or 36,000 miles. I have never seen a starter motor die so fast on any automobile I have owned. The service department quoted me $600 parts and labor to replace. Right.
I told the Toyota rep it was very unlikely I would ever purchase a Toyota vehicle again. He replied that was my right. Ya.
