According to the service manual, the restraint systems are covered up to 60,000 miles, plus I have extended warranty. The dealer insisted that since it was just re-calibration and not a defective part that it was chargeable. I just happened to see your website today and looked up the recall list which shows this problem as a recall. I was never notified by anyone. I will definitely be showing this to the dealer and contacting Toyota to see if I can get my money back. I hope it is not too late.
I have to say that other than this issue it has been a GREAT car! I would definitely buy another, just not from this dealer.
