This problem has occurred twice (once on 02/16/2017 at 75,465 miles and a second time on 04/10/2017 at 75,829 miles). The Diagnostic Trouble Code in both instances was P2112 (Throttle Actuator Control System-Stuck Closed). While I was able to erase the DTC from the computer memory in both instances, and get the car running normally; an intermittent problem like this is very concerning. In both instances, I was driving at normal speed (65-70mph) in traffic on a major interstate when power was lost (the car did not cut off--it just had no power due to the throttle plate being closed to approximately 6 degrees). I have checked the resistance of pins 1 and 2 on the throttle body actuator (as recommended in Toyota's Service Manual for this car) and it is 4 ohms (spec is 0.3 to 100 ohms). I am hoping that someone else has run into this issue and was able to fix it without replacing the ECM.
