On 07/13/10 has an accident in a 2010 Camry. Was coasting into parking space infront of hess gas station and car suddenly accelerated without pressing on the gas. All I could do was press on the brake as hard as I could car would not stop" fhp responded and no traffic ticket was issued. Contact insurance they Transport car to repair shop car did not sustain damage where car was not drivable. I refuse to drive car and very affraid to drive it. Went to dealership they want to conduct an investigation. How do I know whether or not their investigation is impartial and true. If there where an true problem with the engine or the accelerator would they actually admit it"

My 2010 Camry has been to the dealer a few times. Know one seems to be able to duplicate the acceleration surge I'm experiencing. I contacted Toyota directly. They sent me to different dealer. Dealer had it for a day and said the same thing "can't duplicate" I think they have all been schooled to say this. I had the service manager ride with me and told him to watch the RPM dial when I go to stop. He saw the RPM dial move up to almost 2000 when I hit the brake. He had me drive another 2010 Camry and it did the same thing. I had a 98 avalon and a 03 Camry that did not do this. He explained to me that this is the way these new cars down sift and it's different than the older Toyota's. he assured me that my car is safe and I have nothing to worry about. After reading all of the other complaints here I'm not 100% sold that this is normal down sifting. I think I'm going to take this to arbitration. I hate to do this because I love my new car...I'm just really nervous driving it.

We bought our 2010 Toyota Camry on 12/31/2010 unaware of the recall that was about to hit. When we started hearing about the recalls, we got on the Toyota web site. Our vehicle that we purchased 2 weeks prior was now on a recall list. When we contacted our local dealer, they said to do nothing, Toyota was sending out a letter the following week with all recall cars listed and when to bring them in. We never received a letter from the company nor the local dealership. When calling to demand this issue be fixed on Monday 3/8/2010, they took my name and number, said someone would call me back, and never did. My car has depreciated, I can't even get out from under it and am scared to death to drive it. I am appalled at the lack of response or concern from this company. I want out of this contract !!!

Rental vehicle accelerated while stopping, rental Agency hertz, cookeville tn. Problem occurred on interstate exit ramp, the car decelerated from 70 to 55 then down shifted and started to accelerate up the exit ramp. I was able to stop the car and the rental Agency informed me that the car had been serviced for the recall. As a test/reliability engineer, I classify this vehicle has unsafe.

We bought a 2010 Toyota Camry less than six months ago. From the beginning we had problems with the brakes, which makes a knocking sound. Took it back to fred haas Toyota on two to three occasion, they claim nothing was wrong each time. I also experienced the acceleration problem which I told them about, still nothing was done. We have 5 years to pay for a car that is a danger to myself & my family.

We purchased a 2010 Toyota Camry in August of 2009. We have had several issues with the car since we purchased it. Our main concern is that on occasion when applying the brake the car with actually lurch forward as it brakes. It does not do this all the time and the malfunction is not predictable.

ABS brake failure on my 2010 Toyota Camry. No accidents, as I have been through two professional driving courses. However, hearing the incidents of the prius brake issues caught my attention. There is an inconsistency with the operation of the ABS system on my johnson & johnson fleet Camry that was delivered in October, 2009 (2010 model). If there is a need to "tap the brakes" they will lock up and the car lunges forward. When applying the ABS brakes on gravel or loose/uneven pavement, it makes a clicking noise and the car seems to "hop, " rather than come to an appropriate stop. It seems identical to reports/complaints that I've heard around the prius. Normally, I would not even consider sending an alert to you. However, hearing interviews on the news and reading further about the recall, I felt very compelled to let you know. I am the assigned driver to this fleet vehicle. It is owned & licensed to johnson & johnson healthcare services.

In Oct 2009 we purchased a 2010 Toyota Camry hybrid sedan. We immediately noticed that there was a lag or delay when we applied the brakes. I noted to my wife that I never came so close to the car infront of me when stopping...repeatedly. I told this to my sales rep at the dealer at which I bought the car, and he said, no issue. -happens consistently at all speeds. So far no accident, but very close to frequently rear-ending cars - no repairs--told not an issue I ask that you add the 2010 Toyota Camry hybrid to the list of problem Toyota. Thanks you

Camry hybrid 2010. Bought new and complained to Toyota of surging forward inconsistency during my daily two hour commute. I asked if they planned to fix it during my last service visit and the answer was "nope." When asked that they do fix it, the answer was, "nope!". you will be notified in April when the pedals are going to be fixed. I have had nightmares of speeding out of control and am afraid to drive this car. Do I have any recourse. This is not the car I thought I purchased months ago.
