This car was purchased and owned by a single driver. It was serviced exclusively by Sun Toyota for the 10 years it spent in Fl. Not once did anyone in that dealership notice this paint flaking off or the white just turning to powder. Everything was done at Toyota, even tires and batteries. It almost seems like the car was never clear coated. This car now has 26000 miles on it and it is immaculate...with the exception of paint? Yeah, Super White, I did take it to a Local Dealer by its new home...Toyota of Massapequa to have the paint inspected... let's see what comes out of this since this Vin is included in the Paint Campaign.

This paint is awful. I have scratched it with my fingernails while opening the door. The hood is the worse part. It is all chipped and discolored. I have it washed and waxed every week and it looks dull. It's a shame. It was a pretty color. I'm afraid I will loose a lot of money when I trade this in. The headlights are horrible too. They are completely fogged over. My Corolla was about 17 years old when it's headlights started to fog over. This Camry shouldn't look this rough already. I'm pretty disgusted.

The paint on the rear bumper got a bubble in the center. I was going to take it in to the dealer, but had to do care giving for a loved one and am not available during dealers open hours. The bubble finally popped and the paint just peeled off. Some months later, someone backed into a parking space next to my passenger side and apparently cut it too short & scrapped the front corner of the bumper. (I didn't notice it right away, as I don't always walk around inspecting the paint at 10:30 p.m.). The paint is peeling off, in strips! I went to a nearby collision repair shop and they did an inspection and advised that the adhesive had not been applied to the bumper and that is why the paint is peeling. They advised it IS a dealers responsibility to repair, replace or repaint with the adhesive applied first! I can't get a return call from dealer and being placed on hold, for LONG periods, while care giving is not working out well for me nor my loved one.

I love my Toyota Camry, this is the best car I ever owned in my opinion, space is perfect, speed is perfect, would like brighter headlights but oh well, however, there is a defect in the paint of the car.

The paint on my car is actually bubbling and just flaking off of the car, under it is just grey/black metal, does not look like a primer on it ? My beautiful car that I worked so hard for is turning into an ugly, disgusting mess that looks like a piece of crap. It started out one bubble at a time, just pealing more and more each day, Now there are many peelings on the hood, front of car, and recently I had a little fender bender in the rear. The other car is fine, my rear is dented, but the paint after the hit is terrible. It completely shattered the paint off the car in places that weren't even hit.

Again, the black metal showing. The paint shattered all over the other car, this was a very simple bump of an accident, however the paint looks like an 18 wheeler hit it. Its more than obvious that this car has a paint defect, the paint peels off like a cheap piece of crap. And its spreading, I AM MORE THAN PISSED OFF, For the amount of money I paid for this car, I have never driven a car with paint like this before, this is a problem for sure and I would like it fixed, the problem is, will it happen again even with a new paint job. I am so upset having to drive this car which now looks like an old used car with the paint peeling, disgusting.

We had a branch fall on our Camary XLE, it knocked the left mirror off and scratched the paint real bad from hood to trunk. We took it over to Toyota of Gastonia, they fixed the car. We went over to pick it up and all they had done was buff the scratches!

Well we took it home and got to looking at is next day after it rained, wiped it down and water spots everywhere, washed it and wiped it down and still water spots. We took it back to Toyota and showed the body shop manager, he had one of his guys bring out a buffer with a 2000 grit pad on it and buff the clear coat then waxed it, nice and shiney, took it saturday to wash it wiped it down and water spots all over the hood, top and trunk, its impossible to get the water spots out of this clear coat.

I have used black cleaner and black wax for black cars and still water spots, Toyota will do nothing about it, toyota paint sucks, i have a black dodge ram pickup and never have this problem.

First I bought a 2009 LS camry sharp car until little orange color spot that looked like rust speck came up all all my car. Took it back to dealer had it cleaned. Hand washing would not take it off. I did this for about 6 months had enough of it and traded it for a new 2010 black camry the first of Dec.

Here it is July 2010 same problem on this car. All we can figure out is sap from a sycamore tree is getting on the car and etching into the paint. The only thing that will take it off is detailers clay. I've owned two ford taurus one white and one black this never happened to them nor any other vehicles that we have owned. This has only happened to the two brand neww toyota's that I have owned. Looks to me toyota's paint jobs are very poor quillty.
