The car is emitting a very strong mildew-like odor. The smell started as mild and now has built up to a level that is untenable. When I drive the car, I get a headache and a sore throat which clears up within an hour after exiting the vehicle and when my voice becomes normal. The filter behind the glove compartment is clean and dry.
I am taking it in to a mechanic tomorrow to see if he can do something about it.
However, I first decided to look this up on the internet and apparently it is not unusual and it appears from what I read that Toyota does not seem to have any reasonably priced solution. I need a fix to this problem. This is one of several Toyota's that I have owned and I had not had that problem before. I probably will not buy another Toyota if this can't be repaired within reason and I suppose I will hold my breath regarding the other 2017 Toyota that I bought. No problems on that one so far.
