CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2009 Camry used to be adorned with our “Seal of Pretty Good†but that was before an alarming number of complaints started rolling in for excessive oil consumption.
Owners are being caught off-guard with how quickly their cars are running out of oil. No leaks, no spills, just 1 quart of vanishing oil in as little as 1,200 miles. Toyota maintains this is “normal†for the 2AZ-FE engine, even though they issued a TSB for the problem in August of 2011.
I have a 2009 Toyota Camry Le. I started having vibration issues. The dealership told me i neeeded new tires. I brought new tires. Still same problem. Then they told me I need a brake Job and rotors turn. I got that done. The problem never stop. When I am driving past 50 miles per hour, I wheel still vibrates. Sad
When you purchase a "reputable, reliable" vehicle as a camry you don't expect to be suckered into major repairs of which the manufacturer is has established a reputation for be the best in it's class, such as engine, transmission and the like.
Reported to service manger @ Toyota Dealer ,said I was just over the milage point and only 20 % wear on breaks but nothing he could do except turn rotors and sand down brakes ,that they did ..... did not help at all ..... go to stop @ 60 miles per hour it feels like the front end is going to fall off, I'll never own another Toyato I have had a few in the last number of years.... as I see it they have a problem with the brakes and they should take care of it .... Bottom line they could care less !!!
