Accelerator Pedal Sticking
2009 Toyota Camry
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Toyota dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2009 Camry used to be adorned with our “Seal of Pretty Good†but that was before an alarming number of complaints started rolling in for excessive oil consumption.
Owners are being caught off-guard with how quickly their cars are running out of oil. No leaks, no spills, just 1 quart of vanishing oil in as little as 1,200 miles. Toyota maintains this is “normal†for the 2AZ-FE engine, even though they issued a TSB for the problem in August of 2011.

after toyota butchered my car, I called the customer experience center and I was given a case number. The first case manager that I talked with stating my disatisfaction with the way the work was done, I was told that there was nothing that could be done and hung up on. I called back and talked with Jerry and I was told that Toyota was in the process of developing a different pedal which would be shorter and as soon as it was available, I could take my car to a dealer and have the new pedal assembly installed, the problem that bugs me is that no one will tell me when the new assembly will be available, also while my car was at the dealership for the recall work all of my interior lights were turned off, and I can't get all of them to work properly. I refuse to take my car back to the dealer where I bought my car, because of the way that I was talked to by the customer relations manager. I want my car repaired the correct way and all of my interior lights to work properly.
