CarComplaints.com Notes: Owners are reporting that their engines are running out of oil awfully quick. As in, 1 quart every 1,200 miles. Toyota maintains that’s with the “normal†operating range of the 2AZ-FE while owners maintain that’s complete BS.
The issue may be the result of defective piston rings.

I bought a 2008 Toyota Camry with HID headlights, and i have replaced the HID lights over 4 times already in a span of 4 years. thats basically once a year or more. I didnt really think much of it at that time but after several replacements, i began to wonder what is going on. It starts out fine, then after several months, it would start to randomly turn off, and i would have to turn the headlight swith off and back on to get the headlight working again. This would happen for a few months until finally the HID lights went completely dead.
I am now wondering if this is something that is defective with HID light system of the camry. Any help would be appreciated.
