CarComplaints.com Notes: An increasing number of Toyotas are experiencing excessive oil consumption and the 2007 Camry seems to be leading the charge.
Owners are reporting that their engines are deprived of oil halfway through their maintenance schedules and in some cases the damage is so bad that entirely new engines need to be installed, paid out of pocket. The issue may be a result of defective piston rings.
Toyota has issued a TSB for this problem, but maintains their stance that vehicles equipped with a 2AZ-FE engine are burning through a “normal†amount of oil.

My wife drove home in the evening and said the car is behaving funny. I checked it and the lights were very dim. I checked the battery and it read 10.5 volts. I took the battery to the place of purchase and they took it overnight to charge and check. The next day they said it was hard to bring back to a full charge but I took it back anyway as it was just 2 years old. I checked again and it showed 12.68 volts, not what I thought was a normal charge of 14 V.
I took the car to an electrical shop and they checked it and said it needed a replacement alternator as it showed no charge. I drove the car 3 days before my appointment with the dealer and it showed the charge up to 13 volts one day and the battery was not discharging anymore. The dealer checked it out and said no problem but could not say why it killed the battery and showed no charge for 3 days.
I am not trusting the car anymore and will be looking for a new one shortly. Your site shows the 2007 model as a poor year. I will probably buy another Toyota as it had been repair free up till the last month.
