Vehicle was running while the driver was sitting inside of the parking lot. Vehicle suddenly accelerated uncontrollably. Driver applied the brakes and the pedal went to the floor. Driver was unable to maintain control of the vehicle and it crashed into a brick wall. Upon impact, both air bags did not deploy. No injuries reported.
The consumer experienced sudden acceleration. The brakes failed to work causing an accident. The consumer's vehicle collided with another vehicle at a stop sign. The air bags did not deploy.
Consumer had a collision with a pole while parking and air bags did not deploy. While parking consumer's foot slipped off the brake pedal and hit the accelerator. Consumer sustained some trauma to her hearing when she hit the pole in front of her. Also, consumer was told that this model of Toyota had a recall on air bags, but she had not yet received one.

My husband was driving home from work in his 2002 Toyota Camry, le V6, and another vehicle pulled in front of him. The front left drivers side was totaled. None of his air bags deployed and he has suffered a critical spinal injury. According to the Toyota owner's manual, showing the placement of the airbag sensors, all airbags should have deployed. I have tried several times to contact Toyota's headquarters and of course, no one wants to talk to you or give you any information. We buy Toyota vehicles because of their saftey and reliability, shame on us.
When driving into the garage vehicle surged forward. This caused the consumer to lose control of the vehicle, and it hit the back wall of the garage head on. Upon impact, both frontal air bags did not deploy. Consumer will have the vehicle inspected.
While applying the brakes pedal went to the floor and vehicle suddenly accelerated. This caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and hit another vehicle. Upon impact, both air bags did not deploy. Consumer was able to drive the vehicle to the dealer for inspection. However, mechanic was unable to duplicate the problem.
When driving at 12 mph vehicle surged forward. This caused the consumer to lose control of the vehicle and hit five parked vehicles in the parking lot head on before stopping. Upon impact, air bags failed to deploy. See voq 10083277.
Failure of air bags to activate in two serious front end crashes. The consumer is in possession of the air bag sensor from the first crash. In addition, he would like Toyota to buy back the vehicle with appropriate compensation. Vehicle was in the shop for repairs totaling $7030. (attorney wrote on behalf of client: David jang)
The vehicle was being parked parallel to the curb. With the drivers foot on the brake, he shifted from park to drive and the vehicle accelerated forward, throughout the intersection, over a curb increasing in speed. The air bag did not deploy. The driver attempted to brake, but the vehicle did not respond. The vehicle was totaled.
Consumer states that the air bag light on the vehicle will intermittenly come on while driving. Contacted dealer and the dealer stated that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle.
Air bag light has come on and stays on while consumer is driving. There is a potential of air bag not deploying or for air bag to deploy unexpectedly. Contacted dealer, and the stated that there was nothing worng with the vehicle.
