My 2002 Camry has been a great car except for the foul odor coming from the air conditioner. I have contacted the dealer as well as Toyota about this problem several times but nothing has been fixed. We are still dealing with the odor from the air conditioner.
While parked vehicle was started and engine roared and surged forward. Consumer had to use extreme force to keep the vehicle from moving. Also, when air conditioner was on and turned off and back on again there was a foul odor coming from the vents.
When driving at low speeds, the vehicle surged forward without warning. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer for inspection and the mechanic changed the computer in the vehicle. The A/C did not cool properly, the vehicle lunged forward and backwards. The consumer was unable to stop the vehicle. Sudden acceleration also occured when braking. The dealer was unable to duplicate the problem, even after 443 miles of driving the vehicle.
