I purchased a 2001 Camry le (new) and the dome light does not work the way the manual says it should. I have power door locks and keyless entry- when I use my keyless entry my dome light does not come on the way my manual states it should. And when I first close my door the dome light does not stay on for the 15 seconds like the manual says it should. This is very very unsafe for a person to get into this car after dark!!!! if someone was hiding in the car they would have all the advantages - if I use my keyless entry from 10 feet away and my light doesn't come I can't tell someone would be in the car but, in reality I have just signaled to that person that I'm on my way to the car, so get ready to jump out at me. They're ready and I wouldn't be!!!!!!!! sounds extremely unsafe to me. How does Toyota justify taking "away" safety features. Is that what happenes when we give them a chance to do business in America?
